The Sword Art Online 10th Anniversary Project: Beyond stage at the Dengeki Bunko 30th Summer Festival Online 2023 event announced a second season for Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online television anime on Saturday, revealing an announcement promo and a teaser visual (pictured).
Voice actress Tomori Kusunoki (Chainsaw Man, Maou Gakuin no Futekigousha) is reprising as the protagonist LLENN. The lead staff returning are as follows:

The first anime season aired in 12 episodes in Spring 2018, adapting the first three volumes. Aniplex of America licensed the anime in North America and simulcast it on Crunchyroll and Hulu.
Gun Gale Online adapts the spin-off light novel by Keiichi Sigsawa (Kino no Tabi: The Beautiful World), which has been published under the Dengeki Bunko imprint since December 2014, featuring illustrations by Kouhaku Kuroboshi (Princess Principal). Kadokawa published the 13th volume on March 10.
Tadadi Tamori drew a manga adaptation in Dengeki Maoh magazine from October 2015 to January 2021. Kadokawa shipped the fourth and final volume in March 2021.
Yen Press licensed both the light novel and manga in English in 2017 and published the 12th novel volume on June 20. The fourth and final manga volume went on sale last January..
