Slay the Dragon, Save the Gold
Pragmatic Play’s Sleeping Dragon Ultra Dark introduces players to a mighty beast slumbering atop a mountain of gold and riches. With an armor of thick black scales and horns of gold, this fearsome reptile is the ultimate challenge for any warrior seeking gold and glory. The game’s visuals exemplify the medieval fantasy atmosphere. The dragon’s lair is set inside a dark cathedral filled with tense, epic music.
The symbols appearing in Sleeping Dragon Ultra Dark include crowns, shields, swords, and princesses. The Wild symbol is represented by a holy knight, while the black dragon appears as a Scatter symbol. Additional special symbols include Coin symbols, which take center stage during one of the bonus games, as well as the Money Egg symbol, the value of which is determined at the end of the Respin Bonus feature. The real excitement begins during one of the game’s bonus games when the dragon awakens and stares at players with its piercing green eyes.
The Beast Awakens in the Game’s Bonus Rounds
Sleeping Dragon Ultra Dark’s first bonus is a Respin Bonus game where players get 3 respins and are tasked with collecting coins across the 15 grid positions. Each coin resets the respins meter and if players fill the entire grid with coins, an instant “Mega” jackpot of 7,000x is awarded. The aforementioned Money Egg can trigger a Mini Respin Bonus with only eight positions. If players fill all eight positions with coins, an instant “Dragon” jackpot of 400x is awarded.
Finally, if players land three Scatter symbols, a Free Spins bonus round kicks off where the middle three reels are replaced by a jumbo symbol reel where only 3×3 symbols can appear. During non-winning spins, the dragon can randomly breathe fire to transform the 3×3 symbol into a different one, potentially even turning it into a giant Coin symbol and immediately triggering a Respin Bonus.
This means that one feature can flow into another, adding to the complexity of Sleeping Dragon Ultra Dark. Players can use the Buy Bonus feature to buy the Respin Bonus or Free Spins.
The Buy Bonus feature also allows players to buy a Super Respin Bonus where coins of up to 1,000x can appear, as well as an Ultra Respin Bonus featuring coins of up to 10,000x.
