FAE expands its line of forestry mulchers with the RQL/HY, an attachment for powerpack vehicles and wheeled excavators from 10 to 15 tonnes.

FAE mulching technology is now available for 10 to 15-ton powerpack vehicles and wheeled excavators. The new RQL/HY forestry mulcher has been released for flexible shredding. 

The RQL/HY mulcher can shred grass, shrubs, and trees up to 6 inches in diameter. The flexibility of the mulcher is best suited to control vegetation along roadsides, railroad tracks, canals, rivers, and lakes; to manage and protect wildlife habitats; and to maintain commercial parks and sports grounds.

The RQL/HY’s direct drive motor minimizes maintenance and allows for a highly compact machine design, which enhances maneuverability in hard-to-reach and tight places. The head’s clean profile and compact build are further achieved through the integration of a hydraulic block with a flow regulator valve built into the motor, along with a thumb bracket in the frame.

The head was designed for productivity, durability, and easy maintenance to stay operational for longer for a range of mulching and forestry needs.
