Can you solve the case? by Sammy Barker Mon 13th Jul 2026
Korean indie game No Case Should Remain Unsolved is coming to the PS5 on 19th August, having already received “overwhelmingly positive” reviews on PC and Switch a couple of years ago. The game, made by Somi, is a “story-driven” narrative adventure where you must “piece together scattered testimonies like a jigsaw puzzle to solve a case”. Here’s the blurb, provided by publisher Playism:
“On February 5, 2012, the police were notified of a little girl by the name of Seowon going missing from a nearby playground. Even after an extensive investigation that involved questioning all persons of interest, the police were never able to solve the case. Twelve years on, Jeon Gyeong, a retired police detective who was on Seowon’s case, was paid a visit by a young police officer who pleaded with her to revisit the case. As Jeon Gyeong retraces the past and more old memories are recovered, a shocking revelation becomes clear: everyone connected to Seowon’s case was lying.”
The game’s dominated by text and monochrome visuals, but I think it’s got a nice look despite the inherent simplicity of it all.
