Rakhi Sawant takes a dig at Tamannaah Bhatia and calls her out at several things, Read further to know what is she saying and is she joining bollywood again? what’s her big take on the about her works?
Rakhi Sawant, who very proudly calls herself Bollywood’s ‘OG item girl,’ is once again making headlines like always, this time for her bold comments about actress Tamannaah Bhatia. In a recent chat with Hindi Rush, Rakhi questioned why mainstream actresses like Tamannaah, known for big hits such as Baahubali, are now doing item songs.
Rakhi said, “I have no problem with Tamannaah, but after doing such big films, why is she doing songs like Aaj Ki Raat? She was the main heroine in multi-crore movies, so what’s the point in doing a 5–10 lakh song? These beer-bar type songs suit people like us. Now she’ll play heroine, do item songs, and even sister roles, what will people like us do then?”
She also reacted to fans comparing her energetic performances with Tamannaah’s recent dance numbers. Speaking to Filmygyan, Rakhi said, “These actresses learned item songs by watching us. When their careers as heroines didn’t work, they kicked us aside and started doing item songs themselves. Shame on them! I’m the real OG and now, I’ll become the heroine!”
Currently based in Dubai, Rakhi revealed that she’s planning to return to India soon to make a strong comeback in Bollywood not just as a dancer, but as a leading lady. Known for chartbusters like Pardesia and Dekhta Hai Tu Kya, Rakhi said she’s ready to reclaim her space in the industry.
On the personal front, Rakhi’s life has been equally eventful. Her troubled marriage and highly publicized divorce from Adil Khan Durrani were often in the news. However, the two have now settled their disputes. The Bombay High Court recently closed all pending cases after Rakhi raised no objection.
Adil celebrated the legal closure with an emotional note on social media: “After years of struggle, patience, and faith… this day has finally come. Thank you to everyone who supported me through every challenge.”
