Sir Ed Davey goes kayaking during Lib Dem conferenceSir Ed Davey was tipped into the sea today as he went kayaking during the party’s autumn conference in Bournemouth.
The Lib Dem leader got into the yellow vessel in Sandbanks near Bournemouth alongside MP Wendy Chamberlain for a photo op this afternoon.
But the two MPs were sent plunging into the water when Josh Babarinde, a Liberal Democrat parliamentary candidate, tipped over the boat in a cheeky moment.
The Lib Dem leader appeared to find it hilarious as he surfaced from the water laughing.
They were joined by Roz Savage, another Lib Dem candidate, for the kayaking outing.

Ms Savage is a Guinness World Record holder who became the first woman to row solo across the Atlantic, Indian and Pacific oceans.
Sir Ed had originally been due to go paddleboarding but the weather forced him to change his plans and go kayaking instead.
It comes as the party today adopted an early version of its manifesto for a general election expected next year with pledges including protecting Britain’s rivers with a special “blue flag” status to prevent sewage dumping.
